The costs for psychological advice/counselling are not reimbursed by basic insurance.

If you have taken out supplementary insurance, it is worth checking with your health insurance company whether they will provide psychosocial counseling. For example, the Federal Health Insurance Fund pays 12 x CHF 20 per year.

The initial consultation usually lasts around 80 - 90 minutes. Subsequent sessions 60 minutes.

It really varies a lot and depends on your situation as a couple. Our average is about 4-6 sessions.
